Sales Engineer, Quotation
Do you want to be part of creating technically and commercially sound solutions for international precast concrete production projects? We are looking for a Sales Engineer, Quotation to strengthen our Quotation team.
The Sales Engineer, Quotation is responsible for developing technically and commercially sound quotation solutions for precast concrete production systems. In this role, you create conceptual plant layouts, production processes, and cost frameworks in the early project phase, ensuring alignment between technical feasibility and commercial requirements. You act as a key technical interface between Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Product Management during the pre-order phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare complete technical and commercial quotation packages for customer inquiries
- Define the technical and commercial basis of offers and ensure consistency between layout, process, and cost structure
- Develop conceptual 2D plant layouts and material flow solutions for precast production systems
- Perform concept-level capacity calculations and process sizing
- Prepare technical quotation documentation, including equipment lists, technical descriptions, process diagrams, and utility consumption estimates
- Support cost estimation and ensure technical concepts are economically viable
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Product Management during the quotation phase
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of quotation processes, tools, and templates
- Provide technical support to Sales during customer discussions and negotiations when required
Key Competencies
- Strong understanding of machinery and industrial production systems
- Ability to interpret and develop conceptual plant layouts and process solutions
- Understanding of production flow logic and operational efficiency in industrial plants
- AutoCAD (2D layout design)
- Excel (intermediate level for calculations and evaluations)
- Basic understanding of ERP systems
- Experience with 3D design tools (e.g. SolidWorks, SketchUp) is an advantage
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work within a clearly defined quotation-phase responsibility scope
- Focus on quality, consistency, and timely delivery of quotation outputs

- You work in a structured and analytical manner and are comfortable managing multiple quotation tasks in parallel
- You enjoy working at the interface between technical and commercial teams
- You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders
- You are able to work efficiently under time pressure during quotation cycles
- You are motivated by developing feasible, well-structured technical concepts at the pre-order stage
